An unfortunate accident had tragic consequences for a Milton man Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 16).

Police report that a 64-year-old found trapped under a truck on his residence on No. 5 Sideroad — west of Regional Road 25 — has died.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene around 5 p.m. and found the man without vital signs. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

The victim was pinned under the truck after the hydraulic lift failed.
